The first Seen Library pop-up in Los Angeles

No. 1 — For the first time in person, our community was able to shop books curated by Seen Library - each one wrapped in a uniform creamy paper, adorned with a custom library card that showcased handwritten clues, so that people can choose a book by its story, rather than by its cover.

The books were selected with one theme in mind: the pursuit of love. Whether romantic, familial, platonic or self love, there’s a lot to be explored in the search for love—and the lessons that come from seeking it.

The pop-up took place from February 3 to February 5 at Shop RLT, where the beautiful ivory shelves displayed the wrapped books, along with some of their vintage homewares. Book lovers were able to browse these books just in time for Valentine’s Day, where they were able to pick out a thoughtful gift for themselves or their loved ones - a partner, friend, parent, or child. Much like the intentionally curated vintage pieces at RLT, most of the books were pre loved and owned.

Thank you to everyone who came to visit and support and purchase a book, as well as donated to the book drive that also took place in-store. It was so incredible meeting everyone who came into the store, looking to escape into a new novel. Seeing the books sell out so quickly was such a pleasant surprise, and we hope to have more if there is a next one! :)
